How we came to own 'Baby Osten' is a bit of a long story :)  We always wanted to use his Sire,  over one of our bitches, but unfortunately when the opportunity arose to use the dog, he had already been sent to Adelaide to Jyndel Kennels.

Terri Davies kindly arranged to get a puppy back from an Ostentatious litter, and hence we made arrangements to have Osten Powers.  He is a delightful boy to live with and we were very proud to be campaigning him as time and work commitments permitted.

He won 1st in a large Puppy Dog Class at the Brisbane 2000 Royal and then won 2nd in the Puppy Dog Class at the 2000 Cocker Spaniel National under Mrs Jean Smith from Sorbrook Kennels (UK)
Her critique of Osten was 'Chiselled head. Good forehand, balanced, good turn of stifle. Sound'

He was three quarter of his way  to his title, with one of his last wins being  Runner Up Best Exhibit in Group when personal circumstances prevented me from showing.  'Osten' sat at home for over twelve months not going to shows, but siring some lovely litters.  Unfortunately,  we moved house and I was unable to keep him, so he now lives on the Gold Coast, but is still standing at Stud.

'Osten' will continue to feature in our future breeding programs, when we once again, start in solids.  He is a great Stud Dog, and produces some beautiful babies with lovely heads and bone, and short backs like their father.
